Katy Maurel accompanied by a pianistKaty Maurel, Italian singer with Slovenian roots. She first performed at the age of three with her father's ensemble. She studied piano at the Conservatory of Trieste for eight years. Later, she trained in vocal technique and this gave her the basis to start teaching singing herself. Since 2001, she has been working as a vocal soloist, collaborating with renowned pianists, guitarists and various ensembles, and performing in prestigious venues where top quality live music is performed. She particularly likes performing in theatres. Her repertoire includes jazz, bossanova and pop.
